Privacy Policy

CodePop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. There is no account system, no login, and no email required. Your game progress and statistics live entirely in your own browser.

CodePop stores the following data in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device:

• Your current game state (today's guesses in progress)
• Your statistics: games played, wins, current streak, best streak, guess distribution
• Your last played date and last won date (for streak calculation)
• Your analytics consent choice (accepted or declined)

Clearing your browser's site data will permanently delete this information. We have no way to recover it for you.

When you first visit CodePop, we ask for your consent to enable Google Analytics (GA4). If you accept, anonymous usage data is collected to help us understand how the game is used and improve it over time.

If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded. Your consent choice is stored in localStorage and respected on every subsequent visit.

Analytics data collected (only if consented) includes:

• Page views and session duration
• General geographic region (country level)
• Device type and browser (no fingerprinting)
• Referral source (how you found the game)

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy.

CodePop itself sets no cookies. If you have consented to analytics, Google Analytics may set its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish sessions and measure usage.

These cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

CodePop is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard server-side request metadata (IP addresses, user agents) as part of their infrastructure. This is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Because we store no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. All data is in your browser - you can delete it at any time by clearing your site data.
